Life is Full of Crossroads

Life is Full of Crossroads

I coach women who are at a crossroads in life.

My clients are typically pondering something important and want guidance as they evaluate all roads.

Life is full of crossroads as we travel through our life journey.

At some points, it is easy to make a decision, and at other times we become stumped and unable to see the future--- so we stay in one place.

Over the weekend, I enjoyed my annual getaway with my best friend of 44 years.

In the years of our “best friendship,” we have only lived in the same city for one year.

At times it was tough to maintain a long-distance friendship, but it was always our desire to hold tight to what was precious.

We spent our recent few days together at the beach, floated in a pool, walked, and talked about life.

We marveled at the many crossroads that we encountered during our friendship and remembered how we coached each other along the way.

During our friendship, some of the crossroads that stopped us in our tracks include:

  • Marriage and Family

  • Divorce (me)

  • Death of close friends and family

  • Changing jobs

  • Changing careers

  • Finding our purpose and pondering how we give back to make the world a better place

  • Weight Loss

  • Health Issues

  • Retirement (the future me, the present her)

This is just a partial list, but you get the picture—life happens, and it isn’t always predictable or pretty, and the roads are rarely clear.

During a lifetime, there are so many crossroads where we need a coach, mentor, or a friend to assure us that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

What crossroad are you at? Are you at a time in your life where you are looking to go in a new direction?

Are you having trouble seeing the light at the end of the tunnel?
