Someone Once Told Me That Finding Balance is not Something You Find - It's Something You Create

Someone Once Told Me That Finding Balance is not Something You Find - It's Something You Create

I have heard others say balance is the key to success.

Are you struggling to find balance in your life? Does it seem like everything is off-kilter from your personal to professional life? Are you longing for a moment when you can hear good news rather than being bombarded with bad news? Are you feeling lethargic? Are you losing focus doing things you have always loved?

I must admit that lately, I too have been struggling to find balance. I blamed the news, COVID-19, politics, lack of routine—you name it, I held it as true for why I was not balanced.

What I found was that when I feel unbalanced, I am often in avoidance mode. I am trying to block out all that seems overwhelming to me rather than facing it head-on. It is an awakening when you realize that the universe is not making you feel unbalanced and that balance is within our control.

Here are three reasons why balance may be a struggle:

  1. Self-discipline is not a top priority

  2. Planning is not part of your daily routine

  3. Inconsistency with your actions

Feeling balanced means something different to everyone. Take a few minutes to write down what it means to feel balance.
